A HomeBuyer Report is a survey that will highlight any problems a property might have and that could cause damage and might need repairs in the future. The main purpose of the HomeBuyer Report is to uncover any issues that might impact the property value and need further investigation.
A HomeBuyer Report includes:
  • All necessary information on the property and location
  • A cost estimate for the property re-build for insurance purposes
  • Condition of the property’s timber work
  • Damp test results
  • Assessment of any damp-proofing, drainage or insulation 
  • Details of urgent problems or major faults in the property that may affect its value
A HomeBuyer Report is worth investing in if you want peace of mind about purchasing a property, even when it appears to be in reasonable condition. It can also give you a bargaining position with the seller on the price and you can agree with them that they complete all repairs highlighted in the report before you move in. It can also help you decide whether or not to purchase a property or to be able to budget for any repairs that need carrying out.
